Prohibited use
The following restrictions apply to all Blackwork assets, including freebies, commercial licenses, extended licenses, custom licenses, and AI licensing agreements.
Please review these prohibited uses carefully. Unless expressly permitted by your license or a separate written agreement with Blackwork, the restrictions below apply to all content in our collection.
✓ Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or share the original Blackwork files.
✓ Upload Blackwork assets to marketplaces, stock libraries, asset packs, or download platforms.
✓ Sell Blackwork assets as standalone files, templates, bundles, or digital resources.
✓ Allow others to extract, download, or reuse the original files.
✓ Use Blackwork assets for AI training, machine learning, or dataset creation without a dedicated AI License.
✓ Claim ownership, authorship, or exclusive rights over any Blackwork asset.
✓ Use Blackwork assets in illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, hateful, or misleading content.
✓ Download or distribute Blackwork assets from unauthorized or pirated sources.
✓ Use assets beyond the scope of your purchased license.

Key Definitions
An End Product is the final work, publication, design, or item created using one or more Blackwork assets.
The Blackwork asset must be incorporated into a larger finished project and not distributed as a standalone file.
End Products may be digital or physical.

The original Blackwork file itself is not an End Product.
You may not sell, share, redistribute, upload, sublicense, or provide access to the original asset as a standalone file, even if it has been slightly modified.
The Blackwork asset must be incorporated into a larger finished project and not distributed as a standalone file.
A Project refers to a single End Product and all materials directly related to its creation, promotion, distribution, and marketing.
For example, a book, website, report, exhibition, publication, or campaign is considered one project. Marketing materials created specifically to promote that project are included within the same license.
Creating a separate product, publication, campaign, or commercial offering constitutes a new project and requires a separate license.
A Licensed Asset is any image, illustration, engraving, map, artwork, photograph, digital file, collection, or downloadable resource obtained through Blackwork under a valid license.
The term applies to all Blackwork content licensed under a Commercial License, Extended License, or a Custom Licensing Agreement.
Unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement, all Licensed Assets remain subject to the terms and restrictions of the applicable Blackwork license.
The Licensee is the individual, company, institution, or organization that obtains a license to use a Blackwork asset.
It is the Licensee's responsibility to ensure that the chosen license matches the intended use of the asset.
Digital Distribution means sharing or publishing an End Product through digital channels such as websites, blogs, newsletters, social media, online advertising, digital publications, and similar platforms.
Both Commercial and Extended Licenses allow unlimited digital distribution unless otherwise stated.
AI Training refers to the use of Blackwork assets for machine learning, model training, fine-tuning, dataset creation, computer vision systems, embeddings, synthetic data generation, or any other artificial intelligence application.
AI Training rights are not included in Commercial or Extended Licenses and require a separate Custom Licensing Agreement.

All Blackwork freebies are licensed for personal use only and may not be used in commercial projects, client work, products for sale, advertising, marketing, print-on-demand services, or any activity that generates revenue.
A Custom License is a tailored agreement created for use cases that fall outside the scope of our standard Commercial and Extended Licenses.
Examples may include AI training, large-scale publishing, enterprise deployments, institutional archives, museums, agencies, software applications, and other specialized projects.
An Application refers to any software product, web platform, SaaS service, mobile app, desktop application, online tool, or interactive system that incorporates Blackwork assets.
Use of Blackwork assets within applications, generators, filters, templates, or user-facing creative tools may require a Custom Licensing Agreement depending on how the assets are accessed, distributed, or exposed to end users.

Freebies License
All free downloads available through Blackwork are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
Freebies may be used for learning, research, inspiration, mood boards, private projects, and other personal activities that do not generate revenue or support commercial activity.
Commercial use, products for sale, print-on-demand, client work, AI training, redistribution, and any revenue-generating use require an appropriate Blackwork license.

It allows unlimited digital distribution and up to 5,000 physical copies of a single End Product.
Yes.
The Commercial License allows you to use Blackwork assets in work created for clients, provided the asset is incorporated into a larger End Product and is not distributed as a standalone file.
If your client requires access to the original files, a separate license may be required.
Yes.
Commercial Licenses include unlimited digital distribution through websites, blogs, newsletters, social media platforms, and online marketing campaigns related to the licensed project.
If your project exceeds the 5,000-copy limit permitted under the Commercial License, you should upgrade to an Extended License or contact Blackwork for a custom licensing solution.
